08:54 AM EDT, 10/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were edging higher premarket Thursday, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) and Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) up 0.2%.

Jack in the Box (JACK) shares were up more than 2% after the company said it signed a deal to sell its Del Taco unit to Yadav Enterprises for $115 million in cash.
