Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Advance Premarket Monday

09:09 AM EST, 02/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks advanced premarket Monday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) 0.1% higher and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) up 0.7% recently.

Domino's Pizza (DPZ) shares fell by over 5% after the company reported fiscal Q4 earnings and revenue that missed analysts' expectations.

Fresh Del Monte Produce ( FDP ) share declined by over 6% after the company reported Q4 adjusted earnings and net sales below analysts' expectations.

Alibaba Group ( BABA ) said it intends to allocate at least 380 billion Chinese renminbi ($52.40 billion) in the next three years to improve its cloud computing and artificial intelligence capabilities. Alibaba Group ( BABA ) shares fell past 6% pre-bell.
