09:12 AM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were edging higher premarket Wednesday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) was up 0.3% recently and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) was advancing by 0.2%.

Hasbro ( HAS ) shares were up more than 1% after the company reported higher Q2 adjusted earnings. For 2025, Hasbro ( HAS ) said it now expects revenue to be up mid-single digits, compared with a prior estimate of up slightly.

Waldencast ( WALD ) shares were up more than 7% after the company said it has agreed to acquire dermatological firm Novaestiq, as well as the US rights to the Saypha line of hyaluronic acid injectable gels, in a cash-and-stock deal.

M/I Homes ( MHO ) shares were up more than 1% after the company reported Q2 earnings and revenue that topped analysts' expectations.
