Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Lean Lower Premarket Tuesday

09:14 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were leaning lower premarket Tuesday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) down 0.1% and The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) 0.6% lower.

MakeMyTrip ( MMYT ) shares were down 12% after the company said overnight it is launching a proposed primary offering of 14 million ordinary shares.

International Game Technology ( IGT ) stock was more than 0.3% lower after the company said its global lottery organization will start doing business as Brightstar Lottery, effective immediately.

Lennar ( LEN ) shares were over 1.4% higher after the company reported fiscal Q2 revenue that surpassed analysts' expectations.
