Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Lower Premarket Monday

09:07 AM EST, 12/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer shares were retreating pre-bell Monday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) down 0.2% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) 1.4% lower recently.

Stagwell ( STGW ) shares were up 3.6% after it said it reached an agreement to acquire Create. Group, a digital communications firm in the Middle East.

Lichen China ( LICN ) shares were down 20% in Monday's premarket trading after it completed a $2.8 million registered direct offering on Friday.

Skechers USA ( SKX ) and LL Bean agreed to a settlement in which LL Bean agreed to stop selling shoes which allegedly infringed on Skechers' designs, Reuters reported late Thursday, citing court documents. Skechers declined to comment on a matter of litigation. LL Bean did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment. Skechers shares fell 0.8% pre-bell Monday.
