Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Lower Premarket Monday

09:28 AM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were lower premarket Monday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) down 0.3% and The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) declining marginally.

Kimberly-Clark ( KMB ) shares were down more than 14% pre-bell, while Kenvue ( KVUE ) stock rose more than 17% after the companies said Kimberly-Clark ( KMB ) will acquire Kenvue ( KVUE ) in a cash and stock deal valuing the company at about $48.70 billion on an enterprise basis.

Freshpet ( FRPT ) shares were up more than 10% pre-bell after the company reported higher Q3 earnings and net sales.

Kontoor Brands ( KTB ) shares advanced 2.4% after the company reported higher fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings and net revenue in addition to raising its 2025 adjusted earnings outlook.
