Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Mixed Pre-Bell Friday

09:09 AM EST, 01/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Friday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) down 0.4% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) 0.6% higher recently.

Capri Holdings' ( CPRI ) Versace brand is being considered as a possible acquisition by Italian luxury retailer Prada, the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 reported, citing unnamed sources. Capri Holdings ( CPRI ) shares were over 6% higher premarket.

Civeo ( CVEO ) shares were up nearly 6% after the company said it received a 1.4 billion Australian dollar ($867.4 million), six-year contract to provide integrated services in Western Australia.

Wynn Resorts ( WYNN ) announced a deal to acquire Crown London (Aspinalls), a members-only casino in London's upscale Mayfair district, expanding its European footprint. Wynn Resorts ( WYNN ) shares were down 0.8% premarket.
