Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Mixed Pre-Bell Monday

09:03 AM EST, 01/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Monday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) was up 0.1% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) was recently down 0.8%.

Lululemon athletica (LULU) shares were up more than 2% after the company said it now expects fiscal Q4 diluted earnings per share of $5.81 to $5.85, compared with the previous guidance range of $5.56 to $5.64.

Amer Sports ( AS ) shares were over 10% lower even after the company said it expects revenue to grow at the high end of the previous guidance range of 16% to 17% for full year 2024.

Abercrombie & Fitch ( ANF ) said it now expects fiscal Q4 net sales to increase 7% to 8%, up from its prior outlook of 5% to 7% growth. Abercrombie & Fitch ( ANF ) shares fell past 9% premarket.
