Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Mixed Pre-Bell Monday

09:10 AM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Monday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) 0.2% lower and The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) up 1%.

Alibaba Group Holding ( BABA ) stock was up more than 4% after the company said in a WeChat blog post that its Qianwen app had more than 10 million downloads within a week of its public rollout of the beta version.

US Foods Holding ( USFD ) shares were up more than 2% after the company announced a $250 million accelerated share repurchase agreement under its existing authorization and that its board has approved a new $1 billion share repurchase authorization.

Performance Food Group ( PFGC ) and US Foods ( USFD ) have agreed to cease sharing information and will no longer explore a potential merger. Performance Food Group ( PFGC ) stock was down more than 4% premarket.
