Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Mixed Pre-Bell Tuesday

09:07 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Tuesday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) was down 0.4% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) was 0.3% higher recently.

Philip Morris International ( PM ) shares were down more than 5% after the company reported Q2 revenue that missed analysts' estimates and issued Q3 adjusted earnings per share outlook below expectations.

D.R. Horton ( DHI ) shares were up more than 8% after the company reported fiscal Q3 earnings and revenue that topped analysts' expectations.

Coca-Cola (KO) shares were down 0.8% as the company reported Q2 net operating revenue that just missed analysts' expectations.
