Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Mixed Premarket Wednesday

08:59 AM EDT, 03/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer shares were mixed pre-bell Wednesday, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) down 0.1% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) 0.5% higher recently.

Signet Jewelers ( SIG ) shares rose 17% after the company reported fiscal Q4 adjusted earnings and total sales that topped analysts' estimates.

General Mills ( GIS ) shares fell 4.4% after the company reported lower fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings and net sales.

Nexxen International ( NEXN ) is expanding its partnership with Fox's (FOX) ad-supported Tubi streaming service to include the UK. Nexxen ( NEXN ) shares were down 1.3% and Fox shares were up 2.8%.
