Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Rise Pre-Bell Monday

09:08 AM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were rising pre-bell Monday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) was up 0.2% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) was 0.4% higher recently.

Domino's Pizza (DPZ) shares were up more than 4% after the company reported a higher Q2 revenue.

MGP Ingredients ( MGPI ) said its board appointed Julie Francis as the company's president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Shares of MGP Ingredients ( MGPI ) were 2% higher premarket.

Airbnb ( ABNB ) is facing a lawsuit from Los Angeles, which accuses the home rental company of allowing price gouging on at least 2,000 properties during January's Southern California wildfires, City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto said. Airbnb ( ABNB ) shares were down 0.2% pre-bell.
