Jack in the Box (JACK) shares were up more than 1% after the company said its board adopted a limited-duration stockholder rights plan, effective immediately, in response to Biglari Capital's accumulation of a stake in the company.
Alibaba Group's ( BABA ) Taobao online shopping platform is offering 50 billion Chinese renminbi ($6.98 billion) of subsidies over the next 12 months to help consumers and merchants, it said in a WeChat post. Shares of Alibaba Group ( BABA ) were down more than 2% premarket.
Hilton Worldwide ( HLT ) shares were 0.2% higher after the company said its Hilton Domestic Operating unit upsized and priced the $1 billion offering of 5.75% senior notes due 2033.
