Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Edge Higher Late Afternoon

03:51 PM EST, 11/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks edged higher late Thursday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index up 0.1% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) adding 0.2%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 0.2%.

In corporate news, BillionToOne ( BLLN ) shares surged over 70% in their Nasdaq debut after the molecular diagnostics company priced its initial public offering of about 4.55 million Class A shares at $60.00 per share.

Eli Lilly ( LLY ) and Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) have reached agreements to cut prices for several weight-loss and diabetes drugs under the government's TrumpRx program, the White House said Thursday. Eli Lilly ( LLY ) shares rose 1.4%, while Novo dropped 4.2%.

Moderna ( MRNA ) narrowed its full-year revenue outlook on Thursday as its Q3 top-line declined less than expected amid weak COVID-19 vaccine sales. Its shares added 2.1%.

Haemonetics ( HAE ) shares jumped 32% after the company posted fiscal Q2 results that topped expectations.
