11:21 AM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Select Medical ( SEM ) and UF Health Jacksonville said Tuesday they have signed a joint venture agreement to open a 48-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital at UF Health North in Jacksonville, Florida.

The joint venture will be branded as UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - North and will be managed by Select Medical ( SEM ), according to a joint statement.

The rehabilitation hospital is expected to open in summer, the statement said.

UF Health Jacksonville is a teaching hospital of the University of Florida.

Select Medical ( SEM ) shares fell 2.3% in recent trading.
