10:31 AM EDT, 07/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sempra's ( SRE ) Sempra Infrastructure unit and JERA said Thursday they have signed a 20-year sale and purchase agreement for the supply of 1.5 million tonnes per year of liquefied natural gas offtake from the Port Arthur phase 2 project in Jefferson County, Texas.

The companies said the LNG will be supplied on a free-on-board basis. No financial details were disclosed.

The proposed Port Arthur LNG phase 2 project is under active marketing and development, according to the statement. The phase 1 project is under construction and is expected to reach commercial operation in 2027 for train 1.
