Oct 2 (Reuters) - U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders urged
Boeing ( BA ) in a letter sent on Wednesday to end the
eight-week-long strike in the St. Louis area, where it produces
fighters, munitions and other military aircraft.
"Do the right thing," Sanders said in his letter to Boeing ( BA )
CEO Kelly Ortberg.
The letter was sent the same day Sanders and other senators
used a Senate committee nomination review hearing to slam
Boeing's ( BA ) behavior during the strike.
About 3,200 members of the International Association of
Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 837 went on strike
on August 4.
