08:14 AM EDT, 09/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SES AI (SES) shares jumped more than 24% premarket Tuesday after the company said it has initiated a project to accelerate material discovery in electric vehicles using Crusoe's cloud platform powered by Nvidia ( NVDA ) and Supermicro (SMCI).

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The project is meant to use an artificial intelligence supercomputer to map small molecules and better understand lithium metal battery chemistry to come up with enhanced energy storage technology, SES said.
