TOKYO, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Japanese retail giant Seven &

i Holdings ( SVNDF ) said on Friday that Alimentation Couche-Tard ( ANCTF )

has offered to take over the company at $14.86 per

share in cash.

Seven & i ( SVNDF ) also said in a statement that the Canadian

company's proposal is not in the best interest of its

shareholders and other stakeholders.
