Shell Reportedly Asked to Provide More Details on Climate Targets

04:36 PM EDT, 05/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL) is being asked by Norway's sovereign wealth fund to provide investors with more information about its climate targets, according to media reports.

Norge Bank Investment Management said in a statement it would ask the oil major for more information, but will not back a shareholder proposal that calls for more aggressive climate actions.

Shell has scheduled its annual general meeting for May 21, according to the reports.

The government pension fund did immediately return a request for comments by MT Newswires.
