Shell Says Oil Leak at Bokum, Singapore Stopped

09:30 AM EDT, 10/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL) said Monday that an oil leak from a land-based pipeline at its energy and chemicals park in Singapore on Bokum has stopped.

The company detected oil sheens at the water channel between the Bukom Besar and Kechil islands, the oil giant added.

Shell said that roughly 30 to 40 metric tonnes of slop leaked into the sea.
