07:50 AM EDT, 09/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL) said Tuesday its UK subsidiary has started production from the Victory gas field in the UK North Sea.
The field is expected to help maintain domestically produced gas for British homes, businesses and power generation, the company said.
Peak production is estimated at about 150 million standard cubic feet per day of gas, or about 25,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, at full capacity.
Most of the field's recoverable gas is expected to be extracted by the end of the decade.
The Victory gas field will transfer to Adura, an independent joint venture to be owned by Shell and Equinor.
