04:32 AM EDT, 06/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Shift4 (FOUR) said Sunday it has agreed to acquire payments platform Smartpay for 296.4 million New Zealand dollars ($180 million).

The per-share consideration of NZ$1.20 represents a premium of about 47% to Smartpay's 90-trading-day volume weighted average price, the company said.

Smartpay provides electronic funds transfer at point-of-sale solutions supporting about 40,000 merchants with public listings in Australia and New Zealand.

Closing of the deal is expected to occur in Q4, subject to customary closing conditions.
