05:46 PM EDT, 07/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shimmick ( SHIM ) said late Tuesday it secured a roughly $27.6 million subcontract for work on the Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant Ozonation project in California.

The water infrastructure company said it will install high-voltage power systems, and instrumentation and controls for the new facility.

Shimmick ( SHIM ) said the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission awarded the prime contract worth approximately $234.8 million to J.F. Shea Construction in May.

Shimmick ( SHIM ) shares were up more than 48% in after-hours activity.
