Shoals Technologies Continues to Defend Patent Complaint Against Voltage
Mar 12, 2024 8:56 AM

11:28 AM EDT, 03/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shoals Technologies Group ( SHLS ) said Tuesday it plans to appeal the ruling related to the US Patent 10,553,739, a

photovoltaic in-line fuse connector assembly, and continue to defend its patent complaint against Voltage.

An administrative law judge at the US International Trade Commission recently ruled to remove the '739 patent, one of the asserted patents, from the scope of a pending evidentiary hearing, which is set to begin March 18 with a pre-hearing conference on March 15, the company said.

Voltage still faces an infringement case involving US Patent 11,689,153, the other patent related to Shoals' big lead assembly technology, in the hearing, the company said.

The ruling on the '739 patent does not impact pending district court cases filed by Shoals, the company said.

Voltage did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.

Shoals said it recently received notices of allowance for two patent applications regarding its big lead assembly technology and will assess whether Voltage infringes either of these patents.

Shares of Shoals fell 3.9% in recent Tuesday trading.
