07:39 AM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shoals Technologies ( SHLS ) said Tuesday it received a favorable initial ruling from the US International Trade Commission in its patent infringement case against Voltage, as an Administrative Law Judge found on Friday that Voltage violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by importing infringing LYNX trunk bus products into the US.

Shoals Technologies ( SHLS ) said it has also been granted two new patents covering its BLA technology.

If upheld by the ITC, the ruling will block the unlawful import of photovoltaic connectors infringing on Shoals' intellectual property.

The ITC investigation is expected to conclude by late December, with a final resolution following a potential Presidential review in February 2025. Shoals said it plans to resume its legal case in the Middle District of North Carolina against Voltage for monetary damages.

Shoals Technologies ( SHLS ) shares are up over 15% in recent premarket trading.
