05:55 AM EST, 11/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sibanye-Stillwater ( SBSW ) and C5 Capital said Thursday they have entered into a deal to collaborate on nuclear energy opportunities in the US, South Africa, and globally.

Under the deal, the companies will identify, acquire, finance, and manage uranium projects and production sites with the goal of supplying uranium for small modular reactors, they said.

Sibanye-Stillwater ( SBSW ) owns nearly 60 million pounds of uranium mineral resources at two of its projects in South Africa.
