Silgan's Q3 Adjusted Earnings Rise, Net Sales Fall; 2024 Earnings Outlook Revised

08:39 AM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Silgan Holdings ( SLGN ) reported Q3 adjusted earnings Wednesday of $1.21 per diluted share, up from $1.16 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.23.

Net sales for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $1.75 billion, down from $1.80 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.83 billion.

Silgan ( SLGN ) said it expects Q4 adjusted net income in the range of $0.78 to $0.88 per diluted share. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $0.85.

The packaging company said it now expects 2024 adjusted net income in the range of $3.55 to $3.65 per diluted share, compared with its prior outlook of $3.55 to $3.75. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $3.65.

Silgan's ( SLGN ) shares rose 4% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
