06:25 AM EDT, 09/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Silvercorp Metals ( SVM ) said overnight Thursday it filed a base shelf prospectus dated Sept. 4 with Canadian securities regulators, using the well-known seasoned issuer exemption.
A corresponding Form F-10 registration statement was also filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and became effective under the U.S./Canada Multijurisdictional Disclosure System.
The filings qualify the company to offer up to US$400 million of common and preferred shares, debt securities, subscription receipts, units and warrants during the 25 months the prospectus remains effective. Silvercorp said the move is intended to maintain financial flexibility and is consistent with past practice. The company said it has no present plan to issue securities under the shelf.
Silvercorp shares fell 3% in Toronto trading Thursday.
