07:17 AM EDT, 04/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SK Telecom ( SKM ) said Monday it detected a cyberattack on April 18 and has taken steps to prevent damage to customers.

The company said on X that it would "take 100% responsibility if damage occurs" and has begun offering free SIM card replacements to customers.

SK Telecom ( SKM ) shares were down over 6% in recent premarket activity Monday.
