06:45 AM EDT, 06/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SkyWest ( SKYW ) said Wednesday it signed a deal to buy and operate 16 new Embraer ( ERJ ) E175 aircraft under a multiyear contract for Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) .

The company expects the new planes to replace 11 CRJ900s and five CRJ700s currently under contract with Delta.

SkyWest ( SKYW ) expects deliveries to start in 2027.

The company said it also secured firm delivery positions with Embraer ( ERJ ) for 44 additional E175s from 2028 to 2032.
