Skyworks Solutions names AMD executive Philip Carter as CFO
Aug 25, 2025 2:20 PM

Aug 25 (Reuters) - Skyworks Solutions ( SWKS ) said on

Monday Philip Carter will rejoin the chipmaker as its chief

financial officer, effective September 8.

He is leaving Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ), where he has

served as corporate vice president and chief accounting officer

since November 2024.

Carter notified AMD on Friday that he will resign, the

company said, adding that his departure is not due to any

disagreement over accounting practices or financial reporting.

He previously worked at Skyworks between 2017 and 2024,

including as vice president and corporate controller.

Carter will replace Robert Schriesheim, a board member who

has served as interim CFO at Skyworks since May this year.

Schriesheim will remain on the board.

At Skyworks, Carter will receive an annual base salary of

$600,000 and an annual cash incentive with a target equal to

100% of base salary.

Skyworks will pay an $800,000 signing bonus, deemed earned

on the 24-month anniversary of his start date, subject to his

continued employment.
