02:00 PM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Smith Micro Software ( SMSI ) said Tuesday it appointed Timothy Huffmyer to the newly created dual role of chief operating officer and chief financial officer, effective June 9.
In his capacity as CFO, Huffmyer will succeed James Kempton, who is leaving on June 6, the company said.
Smith Micro Software ( SMSI ) said Huffmyer, who served as its CFO from 2017 to 2021, will rejoin the company from Urgent.ly ( ULY ) , where he is currently the CFO.
Urgent.ly ( ULY ) said Huffmyer will step down as its CFO on June 6 and will be succeeded by Michael Port, who has served as its senior vice president of finance since May.
Shares of Smith Micro Software ( SMSI ) rose 5.1% and Urgent.ly ( ULY ) fell 1.8% in recent Tuesday trading.
