Smurfit Westrock Seeks to End Reporting Issuer Status in Canada

10:44 AM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Smurfit Westrock ( SW ) said Thursday that it has applied to Canadian securities regulator AMF to stop being a reporting issuer in Quebec, Manitoba, and British Columbia.

If approved, this will mean Smurfit Westrock ( SW ) will no longer be subject to Canadian securities disclosure requirements, the company said.

Smurfit Westrock ( SW ) said it will continue to file all necessary financial statements and disclosure materials required by US and UK securities laws, as well as the New York Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange.
