10:30 AM EST, 12/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SMX (SMX) said Thursday an industrial pilot has demonstrated its ability to provide full-chain traceability for cotton.

The multi-day pilot showed that SMX molecular markers inserted during recycling were detectable through several processes and into the final product, the company said.

The pilot establishes a scientific method to authenticate "material origin and the percentage of recycled cotton embedded in fabrics," SMX said.

The company said it is ready to start commercial deployment with apparel companies, recyclers, manufacturers, and buyers.

SMX shares were up 67% in recent trading.
