04:48 PM EDT, 06/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Snowflake (SNOW) said on Monday it plans to buy privately held Crunchy Data, adding to its offerings of open-source Postgres technology and products.

Financial terms and other details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Once the transaction closes, Snowflake is expecting to introduce Snowflake Postgres, complementing the company's existing Unistore software suite combining transactional data and analytics within a single database for business users.
