06:19 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) , Snap (SNAP), Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ), and TikTok lost their bid to bar expert testimony about the impact of social media on young users during coming trials against the tech companies, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a ruling from Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carolyn B. Kuhl.
Hundreds of plaintiffs have banded together to sue the companies over the alleged harm caused by social media, the report said.
A Los Angeles judge rejected the companies' attempt to exclude testimony from doctors and researchers, the report said.
The companies did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
