SolarBank Files $1.5 Million Grant Applications to Develop EV Charger Projects in Canada

09:02 AM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SolarBank ( SUUN ) said Thursday it submitted $1.5 million in grant applications for three fast electric vehicle charger projects in Ontario, Canada.

The applications were submitted as part of Natural Resources Canada's Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

SolarBank ( SUUN ) said it would serve as the turnkey developer, asset manager, and operations and maintenance provider for the projects, which are estimated to cost $2.3 million.

The company anticipates receiving maximum grant funding, pending approval from Natural Resources Canada.

Results of the grant application are expected by Jan. 2025, with project completion anticipated by Q4 2026.
