10:35 AM EST, 02/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SolarBank ( SUUN ) said Thursday it is collaborating with Viridi to develop a 3.06 megawatt DC solar power and 1.2 megawatt-hours battery storage project in Buffalo, New York.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

SolarBank ( SUUN ) plans to own the project, while Viridi will provide the battery energy storage system, or BESS, with lithium-ion battery packs featuring integrated fire suppression and anti-propagation technology.

The company said it has secured a lease for the project site, applied for interconnection approval, and plans to begin construction upon obtaining the necessary permits and financing, with the completed project to be operated as a community solar facility with a supporting BESS.

Shares of Solarbank ( SUUN ) were up nearly 3% in recent Thursday trading.
