Solaris Appoints Richard Hughes as Chief Financial Officer and Completes Closure of Canadian Offices
Jan 8, 2025 6:26 AM

08:45 AM EST, 01/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Solaris Resources ( SLSR ) , which is developing the Warintza copper deposit in Ecuador, on Wednesday appointed Richard Hughes as chief financial officer, effective immediately.

Hughes, who takes over from Sunny Lowe, was most recently CFO and executive director of Trident Royalties. He has agreed to subscribe for $350,000 of common shares in a private placement.

Solaris also said its Canadian offices are now closed and it has no personnel in the country.

National Bank in a note said the completion of the previously announced emigration process will remove the regulatory conditions imposed by Canada's critical minerals strategy. That in turn increases the company's ability to complete a sale of Warintza in the future, National Bank said. National Bank has an Outperform rating an $10 target price for Solaris.

Solaris shares on Tuesday rose 0.4% to close at $5.02.
