10:31 AM EDT, 08/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SolarMax Technology ( SMXT ) said Tuesday that its SolarMax Renewable Energy Provider unit has struck an engineering, procurement and construction agreement with Longfellow BESS I for a battery storage project in Pecos County, Texas.
The contract would generate revenue of about $127.3 million, the company said, adding that it is also acquiring an 8% interest in Longfellow BESS I.
Under the agreement, the firm said SolarMax ( SMXT ) will deliver EPC services for a 430 megawatt-hour battery energy storage system and associated high-voltage interconnection infrastructure. Project completion is expected by June 30, 2026.
Shares of SolarMax ( SMXT ) were up about 103% in recent trading.
