09:04 AM EDT, 05/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Soma Gold ( SMAGF ) reported Tuesday initial results from its ongoing exploration program at the Psyche 2 target area, including the Colossa mine, on the Machuca project in Colombia.
Drill core highlights include 1.3 meters at 8.0 grams per tonne gold, including 0.6 meters at 17.4 g/t gold.
Orion mine channel samples include 1.0 meters at 36.2 g/t gold, including 0.35 meters at 103.4 g/t gold. Colossa mine channel samples include 2.0 meters at 61.4 g/t gold, including 0.9 meters at 136.5 g/t gold.
"The expanded underground channel sampling and soil sampling programs have identified multiple high-grade gold targets for exploration," said Chris Buchanan, Soma's vice president of exploration.
"The 2.4 km northeast trend of mineralized quartz veins and gold-in-soil anomalies is particularly exciting - especially in light of the recent high-grade drill intercepts," Buchanan added. "Soma is pleased with the exploration team's continued success in developing drill-ready targets at Psyche 2."
Soma's share price fell 2.5% on Monday to $0.78 on the TSXV.
