07:12 AM EDT, 06/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Soma Gold ( SMAGF ) on Wednesday reported new drill results targeting the Venus Gap zone of the Cordero mine on the Bagre project in Colombia.
Highlights of the results include 1.7 meters at 9.2 grams per tonne gold; 2.1 meters at 11.9 g/t gold, and 6 meters at 7.5 g/t gold, including 0.65 meters at 9.3 g/t gold and 0.5 meters at 67.8 g/t gold.
The Cordero deposit is informally divided into five main zones: the Athenas, Cordero, Venus, Venus Gap and Victoria Ramp zones.
"Drilling in the Venus Gap Zone continues to return the broadest, high-grade intervals in the mine," said Chris Buchanan, vice president of exploration at Soma. "Extending this zone down dip adds resources to the mine plan and supports development of deeper levels of the Venus and Venus Gap veins."
