Noida-based tile maker, Somany Ceramics aims to achieve high single-digit volume growth for FY24, said Managing Director and CEO, Abhishek Somany.
Given the performance in the first half, the company will have to grow volumes in double-digits in the second half to meet the full-year guidance, he told CNBC-TV18.

Apart from an overall improvement in demand, he also expects the commencement of operations at a new plant to boost volumes in the second half.
According to Somany, this plant is slated to start producing and selling towards the end of the third quarter or early fourth quarter, providing an additional impetus to the company's growth trajectory.
In the July-September quarter, the company's revenue from operations rose 6% to ₹653 crore from ₹616 crore last year. The EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), was at ₹64 crore, up from ₹42 crore last year. EBITDA margin improved to 9.80% from 6.90%. Profit after tax jumped to ₹30 crore from ₹12 crore. The profit jump was largely due to lower fuel costs and some improvement in realisation mainly from value-added products.
Somany Ceramics, which has a market cap of ₹2,865.73 crore, competes with players such as Kajaria Ceramics and Cera Sanitaryware.
