Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.46.

Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $3.9 billion, up from $3.58 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $3.61 billion.

Sonic said its board approved a quarterly dividend of $0.35 per share, payable April 15 to shareholders of record on March 14.

The company's shares were 0.2% higher in recent premarket activity.
