Sonoco, Engie Sign Virtual Power Purchase Agreement

04:49 PM EDT, 04/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sonoco Products ( SON ) and Engie North America said late Monday they have signed a virtual power purchase agreement for production from Engie's Big Sampson wind project.

The companies have agreed to contract for an estimated 140 megawatts of electricity a year for a 15-year period, they said.

The project, which will have 60 wind turbines, is under construction in Crockett County, Texas, and is expected to be completed in late 2025, the companies said.
