05:08 AM EST, 12/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sonoco Products ( SON ) said Wednesday it has closed its acquisition of Eviosys, a European food can, ends and closures manufacturer, from KPS Capital Partners.

Eviosys will transition to the Sonoco brand in the coming months as part of its consumer packaging division, the company said.

The transaction "advances Sonoco's portfolio transformation strategy to simplify and realign its portfolio," the company said.
