05:35 AM EDT, 03/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sonoco Products ( SON ) said Thursday it is implementing a 60 euros ($64.6) per-metric-ton price hike for all grades of its core board and paperboard in Europe, effective April 7.

The company said the pricing decision is driven by a general shortage of the old corrugated containers that are the primary raw material in core board production, as well as elevated energy costs.
