12:30 PM EDT, 05/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sony ( SONY ) said Wednesday it added teamLFG as a new internal studio under the PlayStation Studios umbrella to work on a new multiplayer title currently in early development.

The new Washington State-based studio, which originated at Bungie, will focus on building "immersive multiplayer" games designed for long-term engagement, the company said.

teamLFG said its first title will be a team-based action game inspired by fighting games, platformers, life sims, and other genres, set in a comedic, science-fantasy universe.

The studio has team members working both on-site and remotely across the US and Canada.

Shares of Sony ( SONY ) were down almost 1% in recent trading.
