Sony Reportedly Buys Alamo Drafthouse Movie Theatre Chain

02:38 PM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sony Group ( SONY ) has acquired Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, according to media reports Wednesday.

Alamo Drafthouse was founded in 1997 as a single-screen, family-owned theatre in Austin, Texas, and has expanded to 35 venues across North America, according to an Associated Press report.
